Obituary of John M. Flood
John M. “Jack” Flood, age 78 of Howell died Thursday, August 26, 2010 at Bartley Healthcare, Jackson, NJ. Born in Brampton Ontario, Canada, he lived in Wayside, NJ prior to Howell where he resided for the last 45 years.
He worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Operating Engineers Local #825, Springfield NJ for many years.
He served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955, obtaining the rank of Corporal.
He was predeceased by his parents, Robert N. and Mildred P. Flood and a brother Robert H. Flood.
Surviving is his sister, Margaret Spears of Leonardo, NJ, his companion of 41 years, June McRann of Howell, five nieces and nephews and C.J. and Justin Kramer to whom he was affectionately known as “Grandpa John”.
Relatives and friends may call at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Sunday, August 29, 2010 from 7:00P.M. to 9:00 P.M. A funeral service will be held Monday, August 30, 2010, 12 noon, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ.
