Obituary of Michael John Maxfield

Michael John “Max” Maxfield, 47, of Howell Township died Sunday, August 29, 2010 at home. He was born in Neptune Township. He was a graduate of Howell High School and had served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Max was a self-employed truck driver. Mickey was a man with a big heart. His many friends will miss him and his wonderful smile. He was predeceased by his mother, Suzann Milocik Maxfield and a brother, Eric John Maxfield. Surviving are his father and second mother, Norman Maxfield and Joyce Starr Maxfield; his paternal grandmother, Olive Theodor; a brother, Nicholas Maxfield; a stepsister, Denise Starr Ackerman; his nephews, Richard and Eric Maxfield and Ryan and Derek Martin; a niece, Loni Martin, his three best friends who were like brothers, Douglas Martin, Adam Grodzki and Michael Bergstrom; and Lisa Martin who was like a sister to him. Visiting hours will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Memorial donations care of his family would be appreciated.
