Obituary of John F. Wallgren

John F. Wallgren, Jr., age 68 of Old Bridge passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 8, 2010. Born in Jersey City, he lived in North Carolina prior to his residency at the Reformed Church Home, Old Bridge where he lived for the last 10 years. He was a graduate of St. Peter’s College, Jersey City and the University of North Carolina, Greensboro where he earned his Master’s Degree. He worked as a Financial Supervisor for AT & T, Greensboro, N.C. for many years. He served in the United States Army from 1967 to 1969, obtaining the rank of First Lieutenant. He was predeceased by his parents, John F. Sr. and Elizabeth Wallgren. Surviving is his brother Robert Wallgren of Bartlett, TN., his sister and brother-in-law Susan E. and Andrew Vilagi of Freehold, NJ, a niece Kristina, 2 nephews Robby and Jason and many great nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Friday, 11AM at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, NJ. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover, NJ. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made in his memory to the Reformed Church Home, 1990 Route 18 north, Old Bridge, NJ 08857.
