Obituary of Agnes Walsh

Agnes Walsh, 88, of Freehold Township passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at home under the care of her family and hospice staff. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and moved to Freehold 22 years ago with her companion William Hinkley. She was a telecommunications supervisor for Ebasco Engineering Corporation, New York City for 25 years before her retirement. “Wally”, as she was affectionately known, loved Irish music, country music, and dancing. She loved life and her vibrant spirit will be missed by her family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Walsh; three sons, Edward, Michael, and Daniel Walsh, two daughters, Rosemarie Walsh and Eileen Gonzalez; and her companion, William Hinkley. Surviving are three daughters, Maureen Benter and husband Barry, Patricia Flanagan, and Deborah Ramos and husband Luis; ten grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Wednesday at 10 a.m. followed by interment at Cloverleaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge.
