Obituary of Carol Jeanne Buckley
Carol Jeanne Buckley, 65, of Marlboro Township passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 18, 2010 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was surrounded by her loving family.
She was the daughter of the late Elizabeth Mapes Whitcomb and James Hattersley. She was the stepdaughter of the late Elwood Whitcomb.
Surviving are her loving husband of 45 years, Dennis Buckley, Jr.; and three children, Dennis and his wife Lisa Robin and her husband Greg, and Timothy and his wife Kelly.
Her special joy in life was her six grandchildren, Kerrianne, Dennis, IV, Kyle, Chelsea, Ty, and T.J. She was blessed with her first great grandson, Canaan. She was cared for at the end by her special friend, Florence Carter. She was watched over by her loving dog Butch.
She is also survived by her brothers, George, James and his wife Buzzy, John and his wife Debbie, David, Larry and his wife Debbie, Walter, and a sister Rose; and many nieces, nephews, and loving friends.
Carol was employed by the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Department and a major part of Buckley Farms. She was a member of the Marlboro Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a member of County Seat Street Rodders.
Carol had a loving caring heart and her laughter brought joy to many. Her door was always open to everyone. She will be deeply missed by all. She is now our angel watching over us.
Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Association would be appreciated.
