Obituary of Lachonda A. Merritt

Lachonda A. Merritt, 39 of Lakewood died Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood, NJ. She was born in Neptune, NJ and had resided in Englishtown, NJ then Marianna, FL. for 12 years before moving to Lakewood 1 year ago. Lachonda was a Certified Nursing Assistant for Marianna Convalescent Center, Marianna, FL. She is predeceased by two grandparents, Bertha Maples and M.C. Kelly. Surviving is her son Rodney Davis Jr. of Lakewood, two daughters, Tyiesha Davis of Marianna, FL. and Katrina Smith of Lakewood, her parents, Theresa Kelly Johnson of Brick and Hakim Shaheed of FL. and his wife Sakeena, her grandmother Gehazel Sims of FL., four brothers, Douglas Kelly of AL., Aqeel Shaheed of FL., Kamal Shaheed of FL. and Rashad Shaheed of FL., three sisters, Cassandra Kelly of Brick, Wendy Kelly of Lakewood and Shevonne Kelly of Brick, and two grandchildren Zakarion and Jaliyah. Visiting will be held at the Community Refuge Church, 4 Sobechko Road, Manalapan, NJ on Friday from 11:00am until the service at 12 noon at the church. Interment will follow at Manalapan Cemetery, Manalapan, NJ.
