Obituary of Ruth M. Carabell

Ruth M. Carabell, 83, of Howell Township, died Friday, October 1, 2010 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Newark, she lived in Norwich, New York and Cedar Grove prior to moving to Howell Township 30 years ago. Mrs. Carabell was a credit manager for Halston-Orlane, New York City for 12 years, retiring 30 years ago. She was a Communicant of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, Freehold, and was a member of the Church choir. She was the publicity chairman for the Friendship Club, Program Chairman for the Women’s Club, organized and sang in the Chorus, and was a contributing writer to the Village magazine for 18 years, and also organized and held many positions in the social club, all at the Villages, Howell Township. She was predeceased by her sister, Evelyn Saupe. Surviving are a son, James R. Carabell, Chandler, Arizona; two daughters, Nancy Carabell, Lafayette, Colorado, and Janet Carabell, Pinewood Springs, Colorado; a granddaughter, Morgan Pedersen; and a loving friend, Elliott Fishman. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 11:30 A.M. at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, Freehold.
