Obituary of William Carrol Jobes
William Carrol Jobes, 91, of Shell Point, Fort Myers, Florida passed away on October 9, 2010. As a native of the New Jersey shore, he was a member of the Hamilton Methodist Church, Neptune Township. Mr. Jobes was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
He and his late wife Margaret Cook Jobes retired to Florida after his career with New Jersey Bell Telephone Company and his service as president of the Asbury Park Chapter of the Telephone Pioneers of America Life Members Club. Mr. Jobes later married Marguerite Yates and they resided briefly in Freehold and Vero Beach, Florida before settling in Fort Myers.
Bill is survived by his wife, Marguerite; his brother, Robert Jobes, a son, Donald Jobes; a daughter, Patricia Holloway; granddaughters Caroline and Jeanette Holloway; three nieces and a nephew. He was also predeceased by his granddaughter, Melissa Jobes.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery, Brielle. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements
