Obituary of Robert E. Payeur

Robert E. Payeur, 89, of Freehold Township died Saturday, October 16, 2010 at home. Mr. Payeur was born in Berlin, N.H. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War. Before his retirement Mr. Payeur was a pipefitter for Plumber and Pipefitters Local No., 9, Englishtown. He was predeceased by his wife, Rose Payeur in 2005, a daughter, Bernadette Roberson in 2000, and two brothers, Conrad and Clement Payeur. Surviving are two sons, Alfred Payeur and his wife Mary and David Payeur and his wife Judy; four brothers, Raymond, Albert, Larry, and Donald Payeur; a sister, Jeannette Colletton; and three grandchildren, Christopher and Nicole Payeur, and Nicholas Roberson. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by entombment at Monmouth Memorial Park Mausoleum, Tinton Falls.
