Obituary of Leonard Jackson

Leonard Jackson, 70, of Freehold died Sunday, November 14, 2010 at home. He was born in Opportunity, Alabama. Mr. Jackson was a buildings and grounds maintenance man at the Monmouth County Hall of Records, Freehold where he was employed from 1985 until his retirement in 2007. His wife, Dorothy L. Jackson, died in 2008. Surviving are a son, Jonathan Jackson, two daughters, Deborah Ellis and Denise Boxwill; four grandchildren, Tyrone and Michelle Ellis and Craig and Tameika Boxwill; eight great grandchildren; his Aunt Inez; and a cousin, Willie Jackson. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral at 1:00 p.m. followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold.
