Obituary of Nancy L. Harper
Nancy L. Harper, 73, of Manalapan Township died Sunday, November 21, 2010 at home. Mrs. Harper was born in Williamsfield, Ohio.
She was employed at the Monmouth County Library System before her retirement. Prior to that she was a registered nurse.
She was a graduate of the University of Akron, Akron, Ohio
Mrs. Harper attended the Old Tennent Presbyterian Church, Tennent for the past 38 years. She served as a deacon, elder, and in many church activities. She was a member of the Board of Trustees of Old Tennent Cemetery.
She was predeceased by her parents, Robert F. and Maybelle R. Woodruff Geyer and a brother, Robert F. Geyer, Jr.
Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Phillip R. Harper; a son, Jeffrey M. Harper; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer A. and Mark Himmelman and Judith L. and E. Aaron Sheffield; and three grandchildren, Magdalen E. Sheffield, Corwin R. Sheffield, and Catherine M. Himmelman.
Visiting hours will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent. Memorial donations to the Samaritan Center, 211 County Road 522, Manalapan, NJ 07726 would be appreciated.
