Obituary of Iris M. Maziekien

Iris M. Maziekien, 83 of Wall Township died Monday, November 22, 2010 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune Township. Born in Irvington, she lived there and in Manasquan prior to moving to Wall Township 15 years ago. Miss Maziekien was a chemist for Englehard Precious Metals, Newark, for 40 years, retiring 20 years ago. She was a communicant of St. Denis R.C. Church, Manasquan; and was a member of the National Audubon Society. Surviving are her brother, John J. Maziekien, Jr., Marlboro Township; three nephews, John J. Maziekien, III, Sea Girt, Lee Maziekien, Howell Township, and Joseph Maziekien, Point Pleasant; three nieces, Inez Dickson, Galloway Township, Lou-Anne Maziekien, Marlboro Township, and Mary-Ellen Pollinger, Brick; and a devoted cousin, Carol Deer, Lincroft. Relatives and friends may call at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, on Friday, November 26, 2010 from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Gabriel’s R.C. Church, Marlboro Township on Saturday at 10:30 A.M., followed by interment at St. Gabriel’s Cemetery, Marlboro Township.
