Obituary of J. Daniel Wasko
J. Daniel “Ace” Wasko, 60, a lifelong resident of Freehold passed away Thursday, December 16, 2010 at home.
Dan was a graduate of Freehold Borough High School earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Frostburg State University, Maryland and his Master of Public Administration Degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1989.
He was an analyst II for the State of New Jersey, Division of Mental Health Services, at Marlboro Psychiatric Hospital and the Trenton offices for 37 years.
Dan was an avid softball player and enjoyed gardening at his home.
Surviving are a brother, Thomas J. Wasko and wife Kim, Freehold; and two sisters, Carol W. Tiffany and husband Bob, White Hall, Maryland and Nora Lamb Gallamo and husband Jim, Alexandria, Virginia; and lifelong friend Adria Gardner. Dan also leaves a niece, several nephews, two grand nieces, and a grand nephew.
Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Monday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. followed by a committal service at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
