Obituary of Frank Samuel Johnson
Frank Samuel Johnson, 84, of Freehold passed away on December 16, 2010 at The Manor, Freehold Township. He was born in Imlaystown.
Mr. Johnson was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II serving as a Private First Class in the 65th Division of General Patton’s 3rd Army. He was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge for combat action in Germany and Austria.
He was employed as the 3M Company, Freehold Township for 32 years before his retirement in 1990.
He was a member of the Morganville United Methodist Church.
He was predeceased by a grandson, Daniel Lindemuth.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Virginia Johnson; a daughter, Rayna Grinnen and her husband Andrew; two grandsons, Frank Lindemuth and his wife Crystal and son Vincent and Carl Lindemuth and his wife Tori; a great grandson, Daniel Lindemuth; a great granddaughter, Priscilla Lindemuth; a niece, Patricia Marsh; two great nieces and a great nephew; sisters-in-law, Alma Boyce, Eleanor Birch, Bernice Holmes and friend, Joseph Jiosne, Catherine Archer and her husband David; and brothers-in-law, Charles Holmes, Warren Holmes, and Donald Holmes and his wife Minnie.
Visiting hours will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent. Memorial donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
