Obituary of Vincent James Lewis
Vincent James Lewis, 77, of Millstone Township died Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Mr. Lewis was born in Guyana.
He was a clinical therapist at Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital, Morris Plains before his retirement.
Mr. Lewis was an avid cricket and soccer player in Guyana.
Surviving are his wife, Amy Benjamin Lewis; a son, Timothy Lewis; two daughters and son-in-law, Claudette and David Keith and Jacqueline and Eddie Hunter; two brothers, Joseph and Cecil DeLapara; two sisters, Barbara DeLapara and Beverly Blake; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church, 91 Stillhouse Road, Millstone Township on Monday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at the parish cemetery.
