Obituary of Mary Lirosi

Mary Lirosi, 87, of Freehold Township died Thursday, January 20, 2011 at The Manor, Freehold Township. Mrs. Lirosi was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and was a former Manalapan Township resident. She was a currency clerk for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York before her retirement. She was a volunteer at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township and knitted for the needy as a member of the Manalapan Township Senior Citizens and the Freehold Senior Citizens. Mrs. Lirosi was a communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Church, Farmingdale. She was the widow of Dominick Lirosi, Sr. who died in 2000. Surviving are a son, Dominick Lirosi, Jr., a daughter, Louise Cutuli; four grandchildren, Karin Patrick Kube, Stephen Cutuli, Audra Cutuli, and Jarrett Lirosi; and five great grandchildren, Alexis Patrick, Nicholas Patrick, Matthew Patrick, Gabrielle Lirosi and Vanessa Lirosi. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Farmingdale on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Association would be appreciated.
