Obituary of Edward F. Thielemann

Edward F. Thielemann, 80, of Freehold Township died Thursday, February 17, 2011 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mr. Thielemann was born in Newark. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a printer for the News Tribune, Woodbridge before his retirement 16 years ago. Prior to that he was a printer for the Freehold Transcript where he was employed for 25 years. He was an avid radio controlled airplane flyer and was a member of Monmouth Model Airplane Club and Jersey Coast Radio Control Club. He also loved to fish. Surviving are his wife, Dora Lukenoff Thielemann; a son, Robert Thielemann; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Louis Zampella; a sister, Joyce Danielle and her husband Paul; five grandchildren, Kyle and Krista Walters, and Becky, Robert, Jr., and Kate Thielemann; and a great grandson, Robert Edward Thielemann, III. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Thursday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. William L. Frederickson officiating. The interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold.
