Obituary of Ruth Davis

Ruth Davis, 90, died Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at The Manor, Freehold Township. Born in Queens, NY, she lived in River Edge, NJ, Dallas, TX and Prescott, AZ before returning to Freehold Township 11 years ago. She worked for Seaman’s Bank for Savings in New York and was a long-time volunteer for Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Arizona. She was an active member of the First Congregational Church, River Edge and Prescott, AZ and sang in both of their choirs. Married for 64 years to her late husband, Herbert, she is survived by her son, Richard, her daughter-in-law, Sophia, her brother-in-law, Rev. Robert Davis and many nieces and nephews. A memorial gathering will be held at Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold on Saturday, March 5, 2011 from 2pm to 4pm with words of remembrance beginning at 3:30pm.
