Obituary of Howard Rogers Van Hise

Howard Rogers Van Hise, Jr., 87, of Jackson Township died Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mr. Van Hise was born in Millstone Township and had resided there before moving to Jackson Township three years ago. He was head custodian at Freehold Borough High School before his retirement. Mr. Van Hise was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Millstone and the Washington Township Seniors Club. He wife, Anna Van Hise, died in 2009. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Roger E. and Diana J. Van Hise; and a granddaughter, Crystal L. Van Hise. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Gregory Pike officiating followed by entombment at Monmouth Memorial Park Mausoleum, Tinton Falls.
