Obituary of Jeannette Costa

Jeannette Costa, 78, of Freehold Township died Monday, August 8, 2016 at home. She was born in Newark and had resided there before moving to Freehold nine years ago. She was a machinist for EGL, Newark before her retirement. She was a roller derby skater for the New York Chiefs for ten years and skated around the world in roller derby matches. Surviving are a brother, Thomas DaCosta Lobo, Jr., Lakehurst; three sisters, Margaret Deitado, Florida, Beatrice Chencharik, Florida and Theresa Meola, Freehold Township; and her nieces and nephews, Elisa and Paul Deitado, Christine Meola, Daniel and Avery Martinez, Tommy and Matthew DaCosta Lobo, and Dean Chencharik. Private services will be held under the direction of the Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold. Memorial donations to the SPCA, 260 Wall Street, Eatontown, NJ 07724 would be appreciated.
