Obituary of George W. Louk
George W. (Bus) Louk of Freehold, passed away at Care One Nursing Home, Holmdel, NJ on April 13th, 2011 after a lifelong battle with cancer.
George was born on April 12, 1936 in Mingo, WV.
George was predeceased by his father and mother, Jesse and Vada (Roby) Louk, his daughter Mary, sisters, Lucille and Isobell, and his brothers, Ted, Frank, Allen and Jesse Jr.
His is survived by his wife of 52 years Diane (Horan) Louk, his children, George Jr. of Virginia, Sharon Horan of Howell, Brian of W.V., Kenneth at home, and Barbara Spencer of Englishtown. sisters Ella Shutzer of Manchester, Rosemary Lamar and Annabel Dean, both of Fairmont, WV. His brothers Dan Louk of Fairmont, WV and Gary Louk of Freehold and several nieces and nephews.
A lifelong truck driver, he could drive anything with wheels and a gear shift.
He enjoyed fishing, tinkering with old cars, and especially being with his grandchildren: Jeremy, Vickie, Melanie, David, Jennifer, Elizabeth, George, Shannon and LeAnn, along with nine great grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be held at Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street Freehold from 2-4pm on Saturday, April 16th, 2011. Funeral and cremation services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated.
