Obituary of Nicholas Scotto

Nicholas Scotto, 83, of Freehold died Friday, April 15, 2011 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mr. Scotto was born in Monte DiProcida, Naples, Italy and came to the United States in 1953. He was a chef at LaStrada Restaurant, New York City before his retirement. He had served in the Italian Navy and the Italian Merchant Marine Service. Surviving are his wife, Carmella Sirabella Scotto; a brother, Antonio Scotto D’Antunono; and a sister, Teresa Martino. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
