Obituary of Joseph F. Wrenne

Joseph F. Wrenne, 86, of Colts Neck Township died Monday, April 25, 2011 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Mr. Wrenne was born in Millis, Massachusetts and had lived in Staten Island, N.Y. prior to moving to Colts Neck in 1983. He served in the U. S. Navy from 1943 until being honorably discharged in 1946. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1947 until his honorable discharge in 1952. After leaving the service he did home restoration with his father and eventually became a master carpenter and builder on State Island for 30 years. His wife, Helen Wrenne, died in1993. Surviving are two daughters, Laura Conti, Freehold Township and Connie J. Sherwood, Bayville; a brother, Raymond Wrenne, Murphy, N.C.; a sister, Virginia Heavey, Medway, Mass.; two grandchildren, Kerri Laumbach, Howell Township and Beth Ann Janczewski, Freehold; and five great grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 11:30 A.m. followed by interment at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
