Obituary of Florence Glatzer

Florence Glatzer, 95, of Freehold Township died Wednesday, May 25, 2011. Mrs. Glatzer was born in Brooklyn, NY. She resided in Brooklyn prior to her moving to Freehold Township where she lived since 1948. She was an Assistant Manager for Britt’s Department Store, Freehold after both her and her husband labored for years on the farm on Robertsville Road, Freehold. She was a member of Workman’s Circle, Freehold. She also enjoyed swimming. Mrs. Glatzer is predeceased by her husband of 76 years, David A. Glatzer in 2010 and a son Raymond H. Glatzer in 1993. Surviving is her son , Harvey Glatzer and his wife Bonnie of Freehold; her sister, Lottie Shapiro of HJollywood, FL.; her grandchildren Steven Glatzer, Kenneth Glatzer and his wife Sherry, Keith Glatzer and his wife Dara and Denise Eckert and her husband Keith; and her great grandchildren Ryan, Sarah, Kennedy, Jared, Wren and Jackson . Visiting will be held Tuesday, May 31, 2011, from 11:00AM until 12:00PM at Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold. A graveside service will follow, 12:30PM at Workman’s Circle Cemetery, Freehold.
