Obituary of Michael Thomas Dixey

Michael Thomas Dixey, 32, of Hilton Head, South Carolina died February 15, 2016 in Hilton Head. He was born in New Jersey and had resided in Manalapan Township before recently moving to Hilton Head. He was a graduate of Manalapan High School and Brookdale Community College. Michael was an amateur bowler and gardener and loved his dog Bear and cat Luki. Michael’s laughter was contagious to family and friends alike. He took great pride in becoming a father. He was predeceased by his father, John Stephen Dixey, in 2009. Surviving are a son, Conner-Edwin Dixey and Conner’s mother, Erica Sawyer; his mother, Barbara Dixey; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Audrey Dixey; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Michelle and George Truszkowski and Renee and Chad Mayles; and nieces and nephews, Mackenzie, Molly, Brody, and Austin. A memorial gathering will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Wednesday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations care of the family for Conner’s benefit would be appreciated.
