Obituary of Susan Gitlin Santimone

Susan Gitlin Santimone, 99, of Freehold, passed away on Friday, July 22, 2011 at Care One at Holmdel. Born in Austria, she lived in Matawan and prior to moving to Freehold 30 years ago. Mrs. Santimone was a sales clerk at 7-11 Convenience Store, Freehold. Her husband, Raymond J. Santimone, died in 2006. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Stanley and Anna Gitlin, Marlboro Township; a sister, Ruth Wemischner, Coconut Creek., Florida; two grandchildren, James Gitlin and Jennifer Schaeffer and her husband, Todd; and two great grandchildren, Jake and Max Schaeffer. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown. Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
