Obituary of Daryl White

Daryl "McPhil" White departed this life on August 14, 2011. He was born October 11, 1964 to Rose Mary Watson and the late Jessie Lee White Sr. in Neptune, NJ. Daryl, known to many as "McPhil," was raised in Lakewood before moving to Freehold in his teens. He attended Manchester and Lakewood High School before enlisting in the National Guard. McPhil began his career in professional dry cleaning over 20 years ago. He was employed by R&M Dry Cleaners and the Freehold Superior Courthouse, where he served as supervisor of maintenance. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Hillard and Virginia White; his maternal grandparents, Booker and Rosa Griffin; and his father, Jessie Lee White Sr. Daryl leaves to mourn his loving mother, Rose Mary Watson; six brothers, Jessie Lee Jr. (Sharon) White of Memphis, TN, Franklin White, Tyree (Antoinette) White, and Anthony (Donna) White, all of Lakewood, Brian White of Syracuse, NY, Gary (Lynn) White of Freehold; three sisters, Elsie "Cookie" Johnson of Paterson, Rose Marie White of Lakewood, and Lynn Lightsey of Ocean County; his goddaughters, Stephanie "Birdie" White and Shakeera Moss; two special friends, their families, nephews, nieces, family and friends. Viewing will be Monday, from 12pm to 1pm, followed by the Funeral Service at 1pm. Both viewing and service will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home,
