Obituary of Thomas Minarovich
Thomas Minarovich, 65, of Woodside, N.Y. died Tuesday, August 9, 2016 surrounded by his family at Elmhurst Hospital, Queens. He was born in New York City.
He served in the U.S. Navy Reserve from 1970 to 1975 then worked for the U.S. Postal Service until his retirement in 2007.
Tom was a beloved uncle and brother and man of deep faith. He was an avid reader, photographer, and history buff, but cherished time with family and loved ones above all else.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Michael Minarovich and Robert Minara, FDNY who died on September 11, 2001.
Surviving are a sister and brother-in-law, Rita and Joseph O’Reilly, Freehold Township; two nieces and a nephew, Suzanne Lizotte, Rumson, Christopher O’Reilly, Middletown, and Jennifer Ninger, Rumson; and his great nieces and nephews, Carley, Kevin, John, Michael, Thomas, Caroline, and Andrew.
The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Robert Bellarmine R.C. Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905 would be appreciated. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
