Obituary of Christine Jackson Godbolt

Christine Jackson Godbolt, of Neptune Township departed this life on November 25, 2014 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune Township. She was born in Opp, Alabama. Christine moved to Neptune 15 years ago. She attended grammar school in Englishtown and Freehold Township and graduated from high school in Newark. She was a member of Trinity Temple S.D.A. Church, Newark. She loved Sabbath School and was a community service volunteer. Christine worked for 20 years as a word processor and years later went on to teach in the Country Day School Day Care Summer School in Tinton Falls. Christine married her childhood sweetheart Robert Godbolt and resided in Freehold for over 50 years. She was predeceased by three children, Lilnda and twins Sally and Lilly. She is survived by a granddaughter, Jennifer Tucker, Cliffwood Beach; four grandsons, Jermaine and Keithy Godbolt, both of Newark, Stevie Tucker, Cliffwood Beach, and Raheem Tucker, Keansburg; a brother, Willie Jackson, Freehold; a sister, Catherine Davis, Neptune Township; and sisters-in-law, Daisy Vaughn, Atlanta, Georgia, Margaret Jackson, Florida, and Mary Godbolt, Sayreville. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent.
