Obituary of Donald E. Rowlinson

Donald E. Rowlinson, 86, of Freehold Township died Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at home. He was born in Newark and had resided in Freehold since 1965. He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran serving as a B-29 radar operator during World War II. He was a charter member and first Chief of the East Freehold Fire company, Freehold Township. He was a member of Olive Branch Lodge No. 16, F. & A.M. and a 32nd Degree Mason in Scottish Rite. He was also a member of the B-29 Association. His wife, Joyce Rowlinson, died on July 16th. Surviving are a son, Daniel Rowlinson and a daughter, Diana Rowlinson Cribbs, both of Kansas; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the East Freehold Fire Company, 191 Dutch Lane, Freehold, NJ 07728 would be appreciated.
