Obituary of Eleanor D. King

Eleanor D. King, 87, of Howell Township died Thursday, February 26, 2009 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mrs. King was in born Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, N.Y. and had resided in Freehold Township, Oakhurst, and in Holiday City South, Berkeley Township before moving to Howell Township eight years ago. Mrs. King was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who was devoted to her family. She was an executive secretary for the director of the Monmouth County Board of Social Services, Freehold Township for over 20 years before her retirement. Mrs. King was a communicant of St. Robert Bellarmine R.C. Church, Freehold Township. Surviving are her beloved husband of 56 years, Rodney R. King; two sons, Raymond V. King and his wife, Marian and Mark King and his wife Joann; three daughters, Suzanne DeGrande and her husband Peter, Bernadette King, and Georgette Tucholski and her husband Tom; and ten grandchildren, Adam, Daniel, Matthew, Michael, Danielle, Kelly, Jonathan, Ryan, Giovannni, and Luciana. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Monday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Robert Bellarmine R. C. Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
