Obituary of Frances Alfieri
Frances Alfieri, 103, of Toms River, formerly of Freehold, died Saturday, May 16, 2009 at Arbors Care Center Toms River. Born in New York City, New York she lived in North Arlington and Freehold prior to moving to Toms River five years ago.
Mrs. Alfieri was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, Freehold, and was a member of the Court St. Rose of Lima No. 737,Catholic Daughters of the Americas,. Catholic Women of Zion, and St. Rose of Lima Rosaries. She was also a member of the Freehold Township Senior Citizens Club, and the St. Rose of Lima Senior Citizens Club. She was a former communicant of Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington.
She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur died in 1974; and her son-in-law, Joseph Calello in 2009.
Surviving are two daughters, Flora Marie Calello and Margaret Rutyna and her husband Joseph, all of Toms River; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and nine great great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, on Tuesday, 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
